Monday, Monday, Monday

What a great Monday, in fact my week is looking just fab!!

My son had his school sports day today... He came third and then last, just like his mother :)
Just so everyone has a good picture in their heads of what I look like writing this, my dog is currently trying to eat my very expensive rug, my 6 year old in throwing a plastic rocking horse around my head and my daughter is unpacking the cupboard I have just just just packed away!! Not really the time to write a blog, but I wanted to see if I could multitask! Is that one word or two? Multi task.... multitask.... hhmmmm??

Anyway, I have just read my wonderful sisters blog, www.mylovebumps.blogspot.com whenever I feel like my life is a little stressful, I read her blog and for some reason feel a whole lot better!!!!

SO this week is looking exciting for me, I have my first training day on Thursday (wish me luck) for my new job. Soon people, I will be able to offer you all your well earned holidays....yay me! I am getting my very own webpage with Designer Travel....EEEEKKK, its all taking off now.

Thanks again to everyone for email addresses and contacts, much appreciated. Keep following my blog as it will soon change to some of the best, most luxurious holiday destinations.....woooooohoooooooo

Keep smiling, its nearly the weekend ;)

It's Fact Friday :)

A week has already gone by and I have been completely rubbish at keeping up to date with my blog...In all fairness I have been really really busy this week. I have a great excuse, a bit like my excuses for my homework I never used to do...The dog ate my homework, my little sister ate my homework (my son uses that one), no really, mine is genuine.... It was my daughter FIRST Birthday *big cheesy grin* I even completely forgot about tempting Tuesday, but after Manic Monday I was still in recovery :)
If I was more technically minded I would know how to make this photo smaller, but I don't, so here you have a life size picture of my princess yesterday! :)

Right, lets get down to Fact Friday!! This week I think we should have the famous question of........

WHEN IS YOUR BEST TIME OF YEAR TO GO ON HOLIDAY...?

Bring on your fantastic and most helpful comments and I promise to be committed to my blog from now!

Have a fab Friday :)

JUST ANOTHER MANIC MONDAY.....

Hellllloooooo Bloggerland....

What a day!!! Where do I begin??....

Firstly, I hope everyone had an amazing fathers day, and I hope all those single mums out there that play 'dad' had an amazing day too!! My kids had such fun with there fathers......wow, that sounds bad! I only have two kids, by two different dads....and I'm digging a hole so I will move on now....! I'm still a nice person :)

It's my daughters birthday on Wednesday! She will be a whole 1.... So special! I remember my sons first birthday, on a farm, lots of dogs, kids and horses, and kids and dogs and horses, and kids in horse poo... Bit different this year for my daughter! We are having a family BBQ (Braai - for the SA folk) at home. Now this family event has gone from being very intimate and small, just me, my 2 kids and my partner, to a whopping 24 people! I know, 24 is not a lot for a party, but you need to picture this..... I only have 3 seats in my living room. The one is a 2 seater sofa, the other a rocking chair and the other is a leather lounger that looks somewhat like a slide.... So that's 4 people sorted for seating and the rest will have to sort of 'Perch'
 or.....

Yes, that is what my daughters first birthday family portrait will look like!
Back to the story.... I went shopping today with both my kids (bad idea - note to self, must get a nanny!) and yes you guessed it, it was pure hell..... My daughter was ripping up all the cards, my son was buying everything and anything in the shop (Happy 80th Birthday Banners). The idea I had was to give him a job that would keep him happy and quiet....

ME: Choose some nice things for your sister, Poppet (cause that's what people in the UK call their kids and it seems to work), and put them like a big boy on the counter!

Taide: OK Mom *takes basket*

ME: *wonders around in a daze thinking did I hang the washing up before I left? Did I put the dog away? Can anyone smell poo, I can smell poo.....oh my god, my baby has pooed on me!!!*

Taide: I'm FINISHED, he bellows across a not so big shop!

ME at the till: How much is that?

TILL MAN: £162.74

ME: Whhhhaaaaaaattttt!!!!!!!???????????? I look across the counter and we have about 44 bags of party stuff.... Urm, could you possibly take a few things out of there as I just don't have quite that amount.

TILL MAN: Yes sure, no problem, how many bags should I take off??

ME: 43!?

So, that was my shopping experience with my kids, never again!

Came home and carried on searching for email addresses for my data base (Yes people, I need more).
Cooked dinner, then my son wanted to wrap the baby's presents, so I left him to it, until he decided to wrap the dog too! So I had baby screaming in my ear, my dog barking because he has been wrapped up in pink Happy Birthday paper, I'm feeling really stressed and my son shouts out:
MAAAARRRRMMM!?!?!?!? HUMANS ARE MADE OF TUNA AREN'T THEY!??

And that just made my day :)

Keep smiling all .... Oh and keep sending email addresses: megdaviesdt@gmail.com

Lets see who can get the ball rolling :)

Watch out for Tempting Tuesday where you can join in on fab prizes for the best comments.

DAY 1...

EEEKK, Day 1!

Lets see, Day 1... Day 1 was rather successful if I do say so myself!

I decided to get 'with it' and join forums such as LinkedIn and Cow and Gate to try and promote myself!
You may be thinking "Why would she join Cow and Gate to promote her business?" SIMPLE, there are so many stay at home mums on there that literally spend there days being a mum and housewife, that generally its left up to them to organize family vacations. I put a shout out to everyone on there that I need contacts so I can send them info on these luxurious family getaways and Hey Presto, I got 6 email contacts in an hour! I personally think that's fabulous, considering it was a one off chance!

LinkedIn.....what a great website! Perfect if you are really nosy, like me, and want to check out what people you see on the school playground do for a living.... see what other great businesses are out there!
I joined late last night and received an Inbox message from a fabulous lady with a heart of gold, Stephanie Fry! Now Stephanie and I have been chatting on and off every now and then about horsey things, cause that's what she does! You HAVE to check out her website! If you are horse crazy like myself, you will love it! www.heavenforhorses.com this is a Horse Rehabilitation Centre and Steph holds many great talks and clinics there too. Stephanie has some great ideas for 2013, so why not give her a shout and see for yourself.

So my experience on my first day with getting more contacts went very well! And in a real world I look like this:

I would love to sit here and type all day, but my nearly one year is wedged between the sofa and the wall and I feel it would only be right to retrieve her.

Have a fab day all you lovelies

WELCOME!

Hellooooo and welcome to THE BLOG!

This could easily take a few weeks to get the hang of. It has only taken me an hour and a half to figure out how to write a Profile! Not bad considering I must have gone up the stairs to screaming children 283 times in between. Ah well, all is quiet now so I can try to focus on me! Lets see....

4 days ago I applied for a fabulous position, working for a Travel Company. To be completely honest, I wasn't all that sure what I was applying for. There I was, sitting on the laptop, looking at facebook  the best healthy meals for my children, with a 6 year old doing cart wheels over my couch, and a 1 year old spitting her dinner at me, when I stumbled across a website: www.workingmums.co.uk - fantastic website as they have all the options possible! Full time, part time, work from home. Now, I have been waiting to go back to work for some months now, and came to the conclusion that working from home would be the best option. SO... I click on this option and first ad that comes up I apply for! Not thinking that I was going to get a response, seeing as though I was new to the site. Anyhow, I get an email response asking to meet up for a coffee to discuss the position further! And VOILA, there you have it! I am now training to become a Travel Expert for Designer Travel - www.designertravel.co.uk

First challenge is to get a good contact email data base! Which is where all you lovely people that read this will come into play! As soon as I have my own email through the company set up, I will be able to give you all links to my very own webpage *claps with excitement*, that you will be able to find only but the best, most luxurious holidays throughout the world. And you will have fabulous old me to take care of everything for you! Yes, it will be that simple.... You will suggest to your husband / boyfriend / fiance / father / friend, that you really need a break on a sunny island with a cocktail in your hand a credit card in the other, of which you may get the response of : 'forget it!' at which you will then pull the puppy dog look and blink with those soft 'PLLLLLEEEEEEAAASSSSSEEEE, WE HAVEN'T BEEN AWAY IN AGES' eyes, and he/she will say OK! You then drop me a mail, tell me where you want to soak up the sun and that's it! You pack the bags while I do the rest.... Simple or what!?

Right, once I get all my email addresses (yes that is a hint that I want yours and your friends/mothers/aunty's/ uncles/ work colleagues and just about anybody's, I will send you a lovely Introductory Letter for you to let sink in :)

If you want to email me email addresses send them to megdaviesdt@gmail.com
